  7. 7.Proposed amendments to Recommendation 0.151

  9.        Change the title of the Recommendation as follows:

  11.                                 "ERROR PERFORMANCE MEASURING EQUIPMENT FOR DIGITAL SYSTEMS AT THE  
  12.                       PRIMARY RATE AND ABOVE".  
  13.        In the preamble and section 1 General replace the words,  bit  error
  14. ratio by: "error performance".
  15.  
  16.        Renumber existing  2.3 to 2.4 and insert a new  2.3 to read:

  18. "2.3   Pseudorandom pattern for systems using 220-1 pattern length 
  19.  
  20.        This pattern may be generated by a twenty stage shift register  with
  21. feedback taken from the seventeenth and twentieth stages. The output signal 
  22. is taken from the twentieth stage, and an output bit is forced to be a "one" 
  23. whenever the next 14 bits are all "zero".
  24.        The quasi-random sequence satisfies the following:
